HISTORICAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS

This video tells the story of the making of Tunbridge Wells and re-creates the atmosphere of the Pantiles at the height of its popularity. They came in their hundreds; from May to October the Pantiles would throng with the cream of society - royalty, the aristocracy, politicians, physicians and many famous names of the day. But the people, the families and the eccentric characters who lived and worked in the town were the real makers of Tunbridge Wells and their stories are not forgotten in this unique record which will have great appeal to anyone with an interest in local history.
